I am a retired pastor in the Reformed Church in America, and I am also a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a person who has lived with the limitations of CFS/ME (chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis) for a number of years.

I enjoy writing and find that writing helps keep me more connected to my faith, more aware of the aliveness of the natural world around me, and more accepting of a life lived by necessity in the slow lane.

I also enjoy photography and love especially capturing the intricate beauty of flowers.  Each flower photo becomes for me an icon of the wonder of creation and a beautiful reminder of the grace that daily surrounds our lives.

Thanks for visiting.  Hope these thoughts and pictures will bring a smile to your soul!

  1. I was reading through Jan Richardson’s blog and saw your comment…Surprised and blessed…it brought my mind/spirit back to a lovely place in my past…the time in seminary and meeting you and Merold and so many remarkable/ graceful people who shaped /reshaped my understanding of faith. Be well!
