I have come to realize that the radiance of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not take away the fragrance of the little violet or the delightful simplicity of the daisy.  Perfection consists in being what God wants us to be.

  1. I always love reading your posts. I just started to read about St. Therese of Lisieux. I got curious about her since my Mom’s name is Theresa. I also liked a prayer to her that I cut out of the newspaper years ago. Hope you are feeling better. Love, Fran

  2. Thanks Fran. Nice to learn of this “connection” you have with St. Therese, or “the little flower.” She was wise beyond her years, for sure, and she has much she can teach me/us about living the life God gives to us, whether that be the life of the lily or the life of a tiny wildflower on the PCT. I’m still learning each day about what it means to live the life I have with its limitations. Some days more accepting than others!
